We Hike to Heal – Seattle | FREE Holiday Healing Walk
Event Navigation
Join Carrie, Seattle’s We Hike to Heal Ambassador, for this FREE Women’s Group Hike/Walk!
Holidays can be emotional times for people, so I’m offering a bonus event this month on Thanksgiving Day. All are welcome!
We’ll be walking some of the paths at Seward Park, which has a mix of paved and dirt/gravel trails. The park is in the south end of Seattle, right on on Lake Washington. This is a fairly easy hike with views of the lake and tall trees (and possibly some bald eagles and blue herons!).
We’ll meet near the Audubon Center where we will get to know each other a bit, then begin our walk with an intention or reflection question. At some point during our hike, we’ll pause to sit, meditate and/or journal, and connect with each other.
Time: 2:00-4:00pm
Location/Directions: Seward Park Audubon Center, 5902 Lake Washington Blvd S, Seattle, WA 98118
Parking: There are a few parking lots (which can fill up quickly on weekends/holidays) and street parking in the surrounding neighborhood (we encourage carpooling or public transportation – there is a bus stop two blocks away)
Difficulty level/Distance: EASY / 2-3 miles
Restroom Facilities: There are public restrooms right next to the Audubon Center.
What you will need for this hike:
- Some water to drink
- Probably a rain jacket or umbrella
- Comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers
- Comfortable clothing – workout clothes work just fine!
- A bag/backpack to carry all your items
- A towel or something to sit on if you’re uncomfortable sitting on the ground
- A journal (or paper) and a pen
